Information we collect
QRDev (macOS app)
The app is designed to work on your Mac. It does not require an account. URLs you enter, library entries, style preferences, and settings are stored locally in application support — not sent to our servers by the app for normal operation.
QRDev may request Accessibility and optionally Input Monitoring so global shortcuts (such as Open QRDev) work reliably. We do not use Screen Recording; the app does not capture your display as a color picker.
This website
Reading pages on qrdev.app does not require signing in. If you use the support contact form, you choose to send your name, email, and message — that submission is processed so we can reply (e.g. via email). The form may use Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse protection.
Analytics
We do not load third-party advertising or behavioral analytics SDKs inside the QRDev app. The marketing site may use minimal first-party analytics when hosted on our production domain, consistent with our host’s documentation.
How we use information
- App data — To show previews, keep your library, and remember settings.
- Support messages — To respond to you. We don’t use them for marketing unless you ask us to.
- App Store — Apple processes purchases and restoration; see Apple’s privacy policy for payment flows.
Data storage
Library and preferences stay on your device unless you use features that explicitly send data (such as email support). You can remove app data by deleting the app and its container data in macOS.
Third-party services
We rely on standard infrastructure when you visit the site or send email (e.g. hosting, email delivery). Apple operates App Store checkout. Those providers process data under their own terms.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose information only when needed to operate the site (e.g. deliver email), comply with law, or protect rights.
Security
We use reasonable measures appropriate to a small static site and support inbox. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
Children’s privacy
QRDev is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
